Three local golf courses are teaming up to launch a new Labour Day tournament.
The Chilliwack Golf and Country Club is joining forces with Sandpiper Golf Course and The Falls Golf Club on the Fraser Valley Open.
The 54 hole tourney will welcome 48 pros and 144 amateurs for three days of golf on Aug. 30-31 and Sept. 1.
The tournament will be an official stop on the Vancouver Golf Tour's 'Order of Merit' schedule, with the hope that it will turn into a marquee event.
Registration for the Fraser Valley Open will open Feb. 15-16 at the Vancouver Golf Show, being held at the Pacific National Exhibition grounds.
