The Chilliwack United U-12 Select soccer girls opened their season Sunday, hosting Coquitlam.
The locals played a strong first half and led 2-0 at the break on goals by Grace Vandenbrink and defender Madison Steele.
Coquitlam stepped it up in the second half, scoring twice to equalize.
But Chilliwack keeper Abigail Vandop came up with some stellar stops to preserve the tie.
