Schedule for BCHL Showcase announced

The Chilliwack Chiefs will host the BCHL Showcase for a second year in a row, facing off against Powell River and Vernon.

The Chilliwack Chiefs will take on the Powell River Kings and Vernon Vipers when they host the second annual BCHL Showcase Sept. 6-8 at Prospera Centre.

The schedule was finalized at the BCHL AGM in Richmond last weekend. Sixteen games will be played over three days on Prospera’s two ice-sheets. Each team plays twice, with results counting towards the regular season standings.

The Chiefs and Kings play at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 on the main rink.

The Chiefs and Vipers hit the ice at 6 p.m. the following night for the final game of the Showcase.

At last year’s inaugural event, close to 200 scouts from the collegiate and professional ranks took in the action.
