Two golfers have claimed their usual spots on the PGA of BC’s ranking of the top 100 golf pros, but a new name cracks the list.
Ryan Tofani, who became the head pro at the Chilliwack Golf Club last January, collected 36 Order of Merit points in the PGA of BC Professional Development Program, and finished in a tie for 67th overall. Order of Merit points are accumulated through participation in continuing education, competitions, the PGA of BC awards program, the annual Buying Show and various forms of volunteerism.
Tofani picked up 16 points attending the PGA of BC spring seminar. He added 18 points competing in zone tournaments and two points from national events.
Chilliwack Golf Club general manager Bryan Ewart said Tofani earned his spot among B.C.’s best.
“Ryan has been a great addition to our golf club,” Ewart said. “He’s made substantial improvements to the club’s operations and overall member and guest experience. He has assembled a great team of young up and coming golf professionals that are working very well under his watchful direction.
“Ryan possess a ‘get the job done approach’ and has a very strong business eye, in addition to his ability to play the game of golf at a very high level.”

Tofani’s predecessor at the Chilliwack Golf Club, Jennifer Greggain, finished 27th with 50 Order of Merit points.
Greggain spends most of her time these days as a coach with Golf Canada.
Kevin Stinson, the Cheam Mountain Golf Course pro who, like Greggain, is a local fixture on this list, was tied for 71st overall with 35 Order of Merit points.
