Red Giants hand out team awards

Seven players got trophies as the Chilliwack Minor Football junior bantam Red Giants held their awards dinner Thursday night.

The Chilliwack Minor Football junior bantam Red Giants held their awards party Jan. 26, with seven players taking home hardware.

Elijah Schellenberg was named the team’s most valuable player in a vote by his teammates.

Jordan Brueker took the MVP award in a vote by the coaches.

Billy Hanson and Cam Betker shared the rookie of the year award, with Jordan Locke earning recognition as the most improved player.

The defensive player of the year award was split between the Harvey’s, Aydan and Emerson.
