The Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club was well represented at the Lotus Icebreaker double hull races, held in Burrard Inlet on the weekend.
The top performer was the Pirates outrigger team, placing a strong second in their division with a time of 31 minutes and 16 seconds. The Myriad Mavericks posted a time of 35:39.
Thrown together at the last minute, Smells Like the Fraser Valley was impressive with a time of 33:16.
This was a good showing for the local teams in their first crack at outrigger canoe racing.Next up for the Pirates will be the March Madness races held in False Creek.
