Peewees pummel Newton en-route to tourney final

Chilliwack's peewee A Cougars started their summer season with a second place finish at the Diane Cook Memorial tournament.

The Chilliwack Cougars peewee A baseball team was in Newton last weekend for the Diane Cook Memorial Canada Day tournament.

The locals went 2-1 in round robin play, with wins over the BC Select Her-icanes (14-4) and Newton Canadians (12-1).

The youthful Cougars ended up losing to an older North Langley All-Stars squad in the final.
