Pauls goes the distance at Canadian Men's Amateur Championship

Chilliwack's Aaron Pauls made the second round cut and finished four rounds tied for 41st overall.

Chilliwack’s Aaron Pauls tied for 41st overall at the Canadian Men’s Amateur Golf Championship, held Aug. 6-9 at two Victoria-area courses.

Pauls fired a nine-over-par 291 over four rounds.

The first round was his best, with the UFV golf star shooting a four-under-par 68 that included three birdies. Pauls followed that with his worst round, a six-over-par 78. He fired 73 in round three and 72 in round four.

Seventy one golfers went the distance, with another 177 missing the second-round cut.
