The Chilliwack Mayhem, a squirt U-12 girls rep A softball team, finished second at last weekend’s Softball City Championships.

The Mayhem performed dismally in the round-robin stage, going 1-4 with five runs for and 42 against.

They entered the playoffs seeded sixth out of eight, facing the third seed Victoria Devils in the opener.

Down 6-0 in the fourth inning the Mayhem stormed back, with Kennedy Galley’s second homerun of the game giving them a 7-6 extra-innings win. Joe Wiens pitched seven innings in a 4-3 semi-final win over the Ridge Meadows Pride, striking out nine.

Chilliwack lost 8-2 to a stacked Surrey Storm squad in the final.
