Chilliwack’s Logan Buchwitz has been invited to the CanadaFootballChat.com Prospects Game for the second straight year.

The G.W. Graham senior travelled to Ottawa for the inaugural event in 2019, but won’t be getting on an airplane in 2020. Because of the pandemic, there won’t be an on-field version, but Buchwitz has still been judged one of the most promising young players in the country.

Selection camps were held across the country from June through October to determine the final rosters for Team Burris, coached by former CFLer Henry Burris, and Team Dunigan, guided by CFL Hall of Fame QB Matt Dunigan.

Participating athletes were chosen by a 33-person selection committee that included former CFL and NFL players, community and high school coaches and scouts from across the country.

Buchwitz is on the 47-man Team Dunigan roster, listed as a tight end.

Last year’s game was broadcast on TSN, called by play-by-play announcer Farhan Lalji and colour commentator Duane Forde.

Buchwitz recently announced his commitment to the Simon Fraser University football program.
