Four teams from the Fraser Valley Dragonboat Club are paddling in the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragonboat festival this weekend.
The festival is in Vancouver on the waters of False Creek, featuring more than 100 mixed teams from all over the world.
The field includes women’s, junior’s and breast cancer survivor teams. It is the largest festival. FVDBC is still recruiting junior paddlers (call Ian 604-997-0137). Mid season rates for new paddlers begin July 1. Check www.fvdbc.com.
