A team of Langley and Chilliwack curlers had a rough time at last weekend’s B.C. U-18 Curling Championship in Victoria.

Eight teams squared off at the Juan de Fuca Curling Club. The local entry was skipped by Sarah McCrady, joined by Tanis Short (third) and the Britz sisters, Madeline (second) and Naomi (lead).

Their record in round-robin play was 0-7 and they didn’t qualify for the playoff round.

The championship went to Kimberley’s Kaila Buchy rink with a 10-2 win over Royal City/Tunnel Town’s Jensen Taylor.
