Karts clash at Greg Moore Raceway

The ROK Cup brings kart racing to Chilliwack's Greg Moore Raceway for three action-packed days this weekend.

ROK Cup racing hits Chilliwack Friday through Sunday, with karts screaming around the Greg Moore Raceway track.

The West Coast Kart Club hosts the ROK Cup Canada Gold Cup event, with a special prize on the line.

Riders in the ROK GP class are gunning for a prize package that includes entry into the 2013 ROK International Finals in Lonato, Italy.

The finals are held annually, in October, at the South Garda karting facility. This weekend’s winner will receive hotel and food vouchers and tires from Bridgestone.

The ROK GP class uses 125cc engines and includes riders ages 16 and up. There is a junior class for ages 13-15.

A busy weekend also sees the International Karting Federation  holding a Gold Cup race, and the WCKC is holding a single header event for drivers seven-and-up.

The cost to watch is $10 per day, with children six-and-under admitted free.
