Juniors tee off

The British Columbia Golf Association’s Spring Junior Golf Tour had its first tournament last Sunday, held at the Swan-e-set Bay Resort and Country Club in Pitt Meadows.

Chilliwack golfers had a strong start.  Steven Scurr  tied for fourth, shooting a 76. Connor McLellan tied for sixth, shooting a 78.

Scott Gibson and Mitchel Thiessen placed 13th and 20th respectively.

All four golfers play out of and represent the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club.

The tournament was won in a play off by Kevin Ko of Swan-e-set, edging Mathew Dorian of Morgan Creek. Both players shot a 73.

The next tournament will be hosted by the  Sandpiper Golf Club on Sunday.
