Hard luck Attack fall to Surrey's Supra

Hard work usually breeds success, but the Chilliwack Attack women's soccer squad hasn't been rewarded for their efforts.

The Chilliwack Attack womens’ soccer squad has battled hard in every game, with little to show for it in the end.

Last Sunday’s home game against Coastal FC Supra was more of the same.

Chilliwack trailed 1-0 just two minutes in.

Andrea Feaver got the Attack even, briefly, at the 18 minute mark when she redirected a Kirsty Fearn cross into the Supra net. But the visitors regained the lead for good 10 minutes later.

Chilliwack came within inches of equalizing twice.

Andrea Northcott had a shot ring off the post, and Deanna Hawes clanged one off the crossbar.

But Supra scored twice in the final six minutes to make the final 4-1.

Chilliwack travels to South Surrey for a Friday night rematch.
