Still months away from opening their season, the GW Graham senior varsity football team has suffered a loss.
According to a social media post by his mom, dominating lineman Mike Lengert will miss all of next season as he recovers from surgery to repair a fractured fibula, partial dislocation of his ankle and torn ligaments sustained playing rugby.
Mike and brother Jaren were standouts on both the offensive and defensive lines for last year’s provincial semi-finalists.
