Grizzlies crush Titans in preseason match

The GW Graham junior varsity Grizzlies made it look easy in a 30-0 dismantling of the visiting Kamloops Titans.

GW Graham's junior varsity football Grizzlies played their final exhibition game Wednesday, hosting the Kamloops Titans at the school.

Coming off back-to-back losses to Oregon's Colton Vikings and a AAA powerhouse from Kelowna, the Grizzlies rebounded with a 30-0 win.

Running back Tristan Davis led the way on offense, carrying eight times for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Jordon Breuker scrambled for a touchdown. Fellow pivot Wyatt Uzick threw a 12 yard TD toss to Tyler Sprott.

Cainen Bergh and Ben Pretty had several tackles each to lead the defence. Defensive linemen Michael Lengert and Vincent Giesbrecht applied constant pressure on the Titans QB.

Kicker Spencer Breslin was perfect on point after attempts while Breuker ran in a couple of two point converts.

The Grizzlies open their regular season slate next Wednesday, visiting Rick Hansen secondary.

Their home opener is Sept. 27 at Exhibition Stadium.
