Giants stand out at Starbowl

The Annual Starbowl between the Vancouver Mainland and Valley Community minor football leagues was played Apr. 23 before a packed house at Townsend Park in Chilliwack. The junior bantam game saw the Valley prevail 16-8. Chilliwack’s Hunter Larocque was named the game MVP with the offensive MVP award going to another local, Ryan Connelly.Chilliwack’s Raja Sandu was named the top lineman.

The bantam game saw the Valley lose 21-14 despite outstanding  contributions from locals Connor Hermann and Phillip Horak.

In the midget match the Valley lost a narrow game, but Chilliwack’s Cody Parray was named game MVP.

Cole Hermann won defensive lineman of the year for the midget league.
