Firefighers fund raise

Roller Derby

Chilliwack’s Voodoo Derby Dollz were thrilled to have Chilliwack firefighters operating a Beer Garden and Concession during their first roller derby bout, held last Saturday at the Landing Sports Centre.

The firefighters worked very hard to feed and quench the thirst of hundreds of spectators.

Their goal was to raise funds for the Chilliwack Firefighters Charitable Society, which in turn donates to a local charity in Chilliwack.

The total raised was $1,000!

As the month of October marks the launch of ‘Purple Light Nights,’ a campaign which honours victims of domestic violence, the Chilliwack Firefighters have donated all proceeds to Chilliwack’s Ann Davis Transition Society.
