Fight night fundraiser

Chilliwack's Crusader rugby club is holding a boxing fundraiser to help fund local scholarships.

The Chilliwack Crusaders Rugby Club is hosting a Chilliwack Fight Night fundraiser Jan. 12 at the Tzeachten Hall.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and action starts at 7 p.m. with a card of seven boxing matches.

The cost of admission is $20 and there will be a fully-stocked bar and music to enjoy.

If the fundraiser is a success, the Crusaders are hoping to award some scholarships to local students.

The Crusaders recently captured the third division championship plate with a 25-14 win over Bayside.
