Elite snag silver at fastpitch tournament

Chilliwack's U-14 Elite went 5-1 at the South Surrey White Rock Fastpitch tournament, winning silver for their efforts.

Chilliwack Fastpitch’s U-14 Team Elite scored silver medals at the South Surrey White Rock Tournament, held May 24-26.

Elite went undefeated in a four game round robin.

They faced the Ridge Meadows Bombers in the semi-final, punching their championship game ticket with an 11-6 win.

Chilliwack faced the New Westminster Royals in a five-inning final.

The score was tied 1-1 through four innings but the Royals plated two in the fifth to take a 3-1 decision.

Pitcher Teigan Ritchie went the distance for Chilliwack, doing well against a very powerful offence.

She was one of four game MVPs, along with Carly Larsen, Kyneesha Kingdon and Jordyn Scott.
