Denhollander a Pan-Am Games pioneer

Chilliwack's Jazmyne Denhollander will be one of the first Canadians to compete in canoe-slalom as it makes its Pan-Am Games debut.

Chilliwack’s Jazmyne Denhollander will represent Canada on the world stage, competing in the 2015 Toronto Pan-Am Games.

Denhollander was one of four athletes named to the Canada’s canoe-slalom team Monday, joined by Edmonton’s Ben Hayward, Calgary’s Haley Daniels and Cameron Smedley of Dunrobin, ON.

This is the first time canoe-slalom has been contested at the Pan-Am Games.

It will take place the weekend of July 18 -19 at the Minden Wild Water Preserve in Minden Hills, ON.
