Chilliwack Chiefs alum Darien Craighead has been named to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association’s all-rookie team for the 2016-17 season.

Craighead, who plays for the Northern Michigan Wildcats, was the second highest scoring freshman in the WCHA with 20 points in 28 games. His 16 assists tied for the WCHA lead among rookies.

Craighead played 48 regular season games and was part of Chilliwack’s run to the BCHL finals last season after coming over in a trade with the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
