Clippers out-skate Chiefs for ninth win in a row

The Nanaimo Clippers defeated the Chilliwack Chiefs by a 4-1 score Wednesday at Frank Crane Arena

The Chilliwack Chiefs fell 4-1 to the Nanaimo Clippers Wednesday night at the Frank Crane Arena.

PJ Marrocco scored Chilliwack’s only goal midway through period one and the Chiefs led 1-0 through 20 minutes.

Cal Babych and Maxwell Crozier scored second period goals for Nanaimo, and Tristan Crozier added to the lead 2:40 into the final frame.

Brady Lynn wrapped up the scoring with an empty netter.

Daniel Chenard got the start in goal for Chilliwack, stopping 28 of 31 pucks.

The Chiefs wrap up the regular season with back-to-back home games vs the Prince George Spruce Kings, Friday and Saturday night at Prospera Centre.
