Clapp happy with tournament win

Chilliwack Golf and Country Club's Brad Clapp scored a big tournament win at the Vernon Golf and Country Club.

Chilliwack Golf and Country Club’s Brad Clapp finished nine strokes ahead of anyone else to win the Professional Golfers’ Association of British Columbia Assistants’ Championship.

Clapp, the assistant teaching pro at CG&CC, beat the course record two days in a row at the Vernon Golf and Country Club. Clapp recorded 17 birdies and no bogies over two rounds.

Clapp has been on a roll of late.

In the last week of May he finished in a tie for fourth place at a Vancouver Golf Tour stop at the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club.

Clapp shot a three under par 70 at that tournament, pocketing $850 for his efforts.
