A strong performance at the Canada West Final Four tourmament has earned Chilliwack’s Sarah Wierks player of the week honours at the University of the Fraser Valley. Wierks scored 36 points at the tournament, including a 22 point performance against the Regina Cougars.
She pulled down nine total rebounds with two steals and one blocked shot. UFV finished fourth, falling 71-65 to the Saskatchewan Huskies in the bronze medal game.
