The Valley Huskers will kick off the 2021 BC Football Conference season Sept. 4, taking on the Okanagan Sun at Exhibition Stadium.

The junior football league released its schedule last week.

The Huskers and their BCFC rivals each play eight games, four home and four away. It’s the first time since 1992 that the league has played an eight-game slate.

Chilliwack stays home in week two, hosting the Kamloops Broncos, before heading to Vancouver Island for a Sept. 18 road game against Victoria’s Westshore Rebels.

After playing home games Sept. 25 vs the Langley Rams and Oct. 2 vs the Vancouver Island Raiders, the Huskers say goodbye to their home field. The final month of the season is all road games as they visit the Rams (Oct. 9), Broncos (Oct. 16) and Raiders (Oct. 30).

They only see Exhibition Field again if they A) finish among the top four and make the playoffs and B) finish among the top two and host a semi-final the weekend of Nov. 6-7.
