Chilliwack’s Natasha Priebe continues to tear up the track with the Langley Quarter Midget Association.

Priebe races cars that are one-fourth the size of normal midget racing cars, typically powered by small one-cylinder engines. The 16-year-old dominated in every class she entered in 2021, claiming three championships in September as LQMA hosted its Northern Shootout event.

Over that one weekend Priebe was tops in the Heavy 160, Unrestricted Animal and Heavy World Formula classes.

She also won the season-long points titles in each division, in total winning six first-place jackets.

“She is incredible,” said local car builder Paul Tourond. “She slaughters everybody.”

Priebe set a fastest-time track record in the Junior Half class as well and was voted the LQMA Senior Driver of the Year for the third straight year.

“I don’t care how good you are, you have to have that feeling in your gut that you want to win every time you go out there,” she said.
