Chilliwack's first roller derby game a big hit

Shantel Binning (right), aka "Shantelly Lace", of Chilliwack's Voodoo Derby Dollz races to hit a jammer from the Sea to Sky Sirens of Squamish during Voodoo's first ever roller derby game at the Landing Sports Centre on Saturday night. Voodoo lost the game 74-116. About 500 people came out to watch the all-women's, flat-track roller derby event called Chilli Chilli Bang Bang. Roller derby is one of the fastest growing women's sports in North American and there are more than 30 leagues in B.C.
