Chilliwack’s Ethan Bowen is in the mix for a Team B.C. roster spot and could play in the 2017 Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup.

Chilliwack’s Ethan Bowen had three goals and four points in seven outings at B.C. Hockey’s U-16 High Performance camp, held last weekend in Shawnigan Lake.

Top prospects were split into three teams, with Bowen leading Team White into battle.

His crew went 3-2-2.

Bowen collected his first goal last Thursday in a 3-3 tie vs Team Blue. The teenager had two points (1G, 1A) in a Saturday rematch, with Team White winning 3-2.

Bowen lit the lamp once more in Team White’s finale, a 3-2 loss to Team Blue on Sunday.

Bowen tied for fourth in tournament scoring.

The 60 players at the camp participated in on and off-ice activities, earning their invites based on their performances at the U-16 B.C. Cup tourney that was held in Salmon Arm earlier this year.

Bowen hopes to be named to the Team B.C. squad that will compete at the 2017 Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup this fall against Team Alberta, Team Manitoba and Team Saskatchewan.

B.C. Hockey expects to reveal that roster later this month.
