Chilliwack’s Brad Clapp goes the distance at ATB Financial Classic

Clapp cleared a significant hurdle, making it past the second round cut in Calgary.

For the first time this season, Brad Clapp went wire to wire at a Mackenzie Tour event, golfing all four rounds at last week’s ATB Financial Classic in Calgary.

After missing cuts in his first six outings, the Chilliwackian cleared the line, just barely, at the Country Hills Golf Club.

Clapp was right on the three-under cut after two rounds, shooting 69-70.

He faded in the last two rounds, shooting matching 74’s to finish in a tie for 60th overall, but it’s a step in the right direction as he golfs in this weekend’s National Capital Open to Support Our Troops at the Hylands Golf Club in Ottawa.
