Chilliwack’s Ben Hagkull has been invited to Wheelchair Basketball Canada’s Tip Off Camp.

The event starts today (Nov. 22) and continues through Nov. 28 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Hagkull is one of 29 invitees, 19 men and 10 women, taking part in a mix of on and off-court activities.

“This camp is an important first step as we begin preparation for the 2022 season,” said Jeff Dunbrack, Wheelchair Basketball Canada’s High Performance Director.

Of the 19 men, only three are from B.C.

The others are Robert Hedges from Wonowon and Derek Jezewsky from Fraser Lake.

The men are coached by Matteo Feriani from Padova, Italy.
