Rosedale’s Aynsley D’Ottavio is one of 52 players who’ve been invited to BC Hockey’s Program of Excellence (POE) U18 provincial camp.

The teenager will hit the ice Aug. 19-22 at the Pitt Meadows Arena Complex.

The four-day camp for players born between 2004 and 2006 will see D’Ottavio participate in a range of on-and-off-ice sessions including practices and intra-squad games. The players have been split into three teams. D’Ottavio has been assigned to Team White and will be hoping to impress coach Kris Hogg as she battles for a Team BC roster spot.

“It is exciting to kick-off the POE season in Pitt Meadows,” said POE commissioner Fred Zweep. “It will be fantastic to get back into the rink and to take a look at this talented group of players. The coaches and evaluators will have some challenging choices to make when deciding on this year’s rosters.”
