Chilliwack secondary’s Storm Classic set to start

Twelve senior boys’ basketball teams hit the court Thursday at CSS for the 28th annual Classic.

Chilliwack secondary school’s 38th annual Storm Classic boys’ basketball tournament tips off Thursday morning, with the GW Graham Grizzlies and Abbotsford Christian squaring off in an 8 a.m. matchup.

The twelve-team field includes four local teams, the host Storm along with the Grizzlies, Sardis Falcons and Highroad Academy.

Abby Christian, Abby Traditional, Robert Bateman, Abbotsford Senior and Mission make a short trip up the No. 1 to join G.P. Vanier (Courtenay), Earl Mariott (Surrey) and Guilford Park (Surrey).

The tournament culminates Saturday night at 6:15 p.m. as the top squads meet in the championship game.
