Chilliwack rugby star makes Team B.C. roster for Irish tour

Von Richardson leaves Aug. 10 and returns Aug. 21 and plays three games vs top programs

A Chilliwack rugby player is heading to Ireland in August as part of a B.C. Rugby tour.

GW Graham student Von Richardson is part of a 24 man roster that will fly to Dublin Aug. 10 and play three matches against top international programs.

Richardson’s U-18 squad will face Munster Rugby Aug. 11, the Galway Corinthians Rugby Football Club Aug. 16 and Leinster Rugby Aug. 19.

The team will also take in a Women’s Rugby World Cup pool match Aug. 17 as Canada faces New Zealand.
