Chilliwack’s Connor McCracken added an interesting entry to his referee resume, working last weekend’s B.C. Major Midget Hockey League Winter Classic.

McCracken officiated a game between the Cariboo Cougars and the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs, played outdoors in Fort St. James.

The game was played at the Ernie Sam Memorial Arena on Nak’azdli Whut’en Territory, an open-air skating surface with a roof that was outfitted with professional boards and regulation glass for the event.

McCracken has been busy this season, working his first season at the junior A level, and is viewed as one of B.C. Hockey’s top young officials.
