Chilliwack’s Brayden Melnyk is in action this week at B.C. Hockey’s Male U16 Provincial Camp, which is running through Friday at Shawnigan Lake, B.C.

Melnyk is one of 60 players at the camp, six of them goaltenders. He was invited based on his performance at the U-16 B.C. Cup tournament that was held in Salmon Arm earlier this year. A strong showing could earn Melnyk an invite to a December Preparation Camp. Following that camp, 20 players will be named to the Team B.C. roster which will compete at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, taking place February 16-22 in Red Deer, Alberta.
