Twenty three minor hockey players in the midget/juvenile age groups were highlighted. A PCAHA selection committee weighed applications and placed special emphasis on academic achievement and good school and community participation.

According to an email from the PCAHA, Hansom’s $3,000 scholarship was the highest dollar value available, “awarded to the outstanding applicant to the PCAHA Scholarship Program.”
