Chilliwack Minor Football stars tackle ABC Border Bowl

The best of B.C. and Alberta clash in a series of showcase games in Lethbridge, AB.

Chilliwack Minor Football has eight players in today’s (Saturday) Border Bowl showcase in Lethbridge, AB.

Four games will feature the top youngsters from B.C. taking on the best of Alberta, starting with the Young Stars game at 9 a.m.

Aidan Saunders, Josh Calverly and Austin Wegener will hit the field at the University of Lethbridge’s Community Stadium in a match featuring players in Grades 6 and 7.

The Future Stars game, for players in Grades 8 and 9, follows at 11:30 a.m. with Jackson Saunders, Ethan Paisley and Gavin Thomas in the lineup.

Hunter Mullis is in the Rising Selects (Grades 9-10) game at 2 p.m. and Jacob Bernath is in the Rising Stars (Grades 10-11) game at 5 p.m.
