Chilliwack man bags top prize in Valley Husker meat draw

Russ Borys was the big winner in the annual raffle that raises funds for the BC Football Conference junior football team.

Chilliwack’s Russ Borys is the big winner of the Valley Huskers meat draw.

Borys had his name drawn and gets meat, a deep-freezer and $1000 in Save on Foods gift cards. Another Chilliwackian, Ken Dillon, had his name drawn as the second-prize winner, netting himself $250 in prepaid Visa cards.

The junior football Huskers will use proceeds from the fundraiser to purchase new equipment and cover operational  costs for the 2017 BC Football Conference season.

The team also made a $1,440 donation to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
