Chilliwack curlers target title at U-18 Canadian Championship

Chilliwack’s Everly Royea and Madeline Britz are in New Brunswick this week for the inaugural U-18 Canadian Curling Championships.

The 12 team tournament started Tuesday and continues through Saturday at the Superior Propane Centre in Moncton.

Royea and Britz are representing B.C. along with Coquitlam’s Heather Drexel and Cloverdale’s Washington Reimer.

Britz curls lead and Royea is the third.

The locals earned their spot at nationals with a gold medal win at the provincial championship, which was held Mar. 16-19 at the Nanaimo Curling Centre.
