Chilliwack Chiefs defeat Langley Rivermen to win series

The Rivermen playoff series ended Saturday night with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Chilliwack Chiefs before 1,090 fans at the Lodge in Langley.

The Rivermen had managed to force a sixth game in the best-of-seven series by defeating the Chiefs  6-4 on Friday.

Chilliwack scored at 7:10 of the first period, with the goal coming from Jordan Kawaguchi.

Langley responded with their only goal of the game at 14:33, courtesy of Reid Yochim.

In the second period, Connor McCarthy made it 2-1 for the Chiefs at 13:08, and Jordan Kawaguchi scored late in the third at 19:04.

Chilliwack player Mark Sinclair was first star of the game, the Chiefs' Jordan Kawaguchi was second and Rivermen player Reid Yochim was third.
