Chilliwack Chiefs captain Jordan Kawaguchi has been voted onto the BCHL’s first all-star team by league broadcasters.

Radio voices around the league were asked to rate the top forwards, defencemen, goaltenders and rookies.

Kawaguchi is joined on the first team by Wenatchee forwards Brendan Harris and Charlie Combs, Langley defencemen Cam Ginnetti, Prince George defender Tyler Anderson and goaltender Mat Robson (Penticton). PG’s Brett Mennear and Powell River’s Cam Donaldson and Jonny Evans are second team forwards. Blueliners are Trevor Cosgrove (Alberni Valley) and Jake Stevens (Victoria) and the netminder is Victoria’s Matthew Galajda.

Donaldson is also a forward on the all-rookie team along with Penticton’s Grant Cruikshank and Merritt’s Zach Risteau. The D-men are Cosgrove and Vernon’s Michael Ufberg and the goalie is Merritt’s Jacob Berger.
