Jordan Kawaguchi has added another NCAA honour.

The Chilliwack Chiefs alum has been named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Player of the Month for December, providing another reason for National Hockey League teams to sign him after his final college season is done.

The former Chiefs captain and current University of North Dakota captain tied for the NCHC scoring lead in December, posting three goals and 13 points in 10 games. He was the only player in the conference to record a point in every game and Gooch recorded three multi-point games.

The Abbotsford product had a hand in five game-winning goals as UND finished December with a record of 7-2-1.
