Chilliwack Chiefs alum Dennis Cholowski on Detroit taxi squad as NHL season starts

Cholowski is one of 32 BCHL grads surviving training camp to find spots with big-league clubs

Forty-eight BCHL alums started this month in National Hockey League training camps, and 32 remain on big-league rosters as the NHL season gets underway.

Twenty six BCHL grads are on 26-man rosters. Five are on the taxi squads that are able to travel and practice with their team and one more is on injured reserve (IR).

The Detroit Red Wings feature the most BCHL content with four players on their roster, although only Penticton Vees alum Troy Stecher made the 23-man. Chilliwack Chiefs grad Dennis Cholowski and Kevin Boyle (Westside) are on the taxi squad and Danny DeKeyser is on IR.

The Anaheim Ducks and the Nashville Predators both lead the way with three former BCHL players apiece on their active 23-man roster.

Here is a full list of former BCHLers on NHL rosters to start the 2020-21 regular season.
