Chilliwack Chief grads are Hockey East Academic all-stars

Ex-Chief Mathieu Tibbet was recognized for a third time for scholastic achievement at Merrimack.

Four Chilliwack Chiefs alums have earned All Academic honours in the Hockey East Association.

Austin Plevy (Massachusetts), Mathieu Tibbet (Merrimack) and the Providence pair of Vincent Desharnais and Vimal Sukumaran achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in each of the two academic periods during the NCAA college hockey season.

This is Tibbet’s third time making the All-Academic team.
