Chiefs schedule includes plenty of Prince George

The Chilliwack Chiefs face the Prince George Spruce Kings three times in a row early in the 2013-14 BCHL schedule.

The BCHL released the full regular season schedule Monday afternoon.

The Chilliwack Chiefs will start the 58 game slate with two BCHL Showcase Games at Prospera Centre.

Chilliwack 'hosts' Powell River Sept. 7 and 'visits' Vernon Sept. 8, with both games counting towards the standings.

The Chiefs play their first road game Sept. 13 when they visit Prince George. Chilliwack's first three non-Showcase games are against the Spruce Kings, who supply the opposition for Chilliwack's official 'home opener' on Sept. 28.

The longest road stretch of the year is a five gamer that starts Nov. 30 in Penticton and sees the Chiefs visit Langley (Dec. 1), Powell River (Dec. 6), Nanaimo (Dec. 7) and Alberni Valley (Dec. 8).

Chilliwack's longest home stretch is just three games, occuring twice on the schedule.

Chilliwack's home schedule is weekend heavy, with 21 games on Fridays, 23 on Saturdays and 11 on Sundays.

There are only three midweek games this season, one on a Monday and two on Wednesdays.

The regular season wraps up March 1 with a home game against the Coquitlam Express.
