CFC seeks help with fundraiser

Chilliwack FC's Ultimate Raffle has some big prizes. But the soccer group needs volunteer help to sell 10,000 tickets.

Chilliwack FC is looking for help selling raffle tickets.

The organization has printed 10,000 tickets for its Ultimate Raffle, selling them for $20 a pop.

Among the prizes up for grabs; a 2012 Ford Escape Limited 4WD SUV, a 2012 Harley Davidson Sportster, a home entertainment system and two vacation packages.

Chilliwack FC has been selling tickets at Party in the Park all summer, and volunteers are needed for other community events.

CFC is setting up at all Chilliwack Chiefs games plus the upcoming BCHL Showcase (Sept. 7-9 at Prospera Centre).

They hope to set up tables at both the Cottonwood and Chilliwack Malls, and the Agassiz Fair is on the radar.

The raffle draw date is Oct. 27.

Chilliwack FC has over 2000 members, and at five tickets sold per member, the organization would reach its goal of $100,000.

Money raised is earmarked to the artificial turfing project at Exhibition Stadium.

The City of Chilliwack is converting the main field to turf, but not the training space that lies behind the north goal. The City approached user groups for financial help.

CFC uses that space extensively, and considers it worthwhile to chip in.

The raffle is an alternate to raising registration fees.
