A clutch performance in a win-or-go-home women’s basketball playoff game last weekend has earned Kayli Sartori a Canada West star selection.

The Chilliwack native was named the conference’s second female star of the week after leading her University of the Fraser Valley Cascades past the Calgary Dinos in game three of their best-of-three opening round series.

The fifth-year forward posted 20 points, six assists, five rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the 69-60 win.

Her team moves on to face the Saskatchewan Huskies in the Canada West quarter-finals.

Game one of that best of three series was played Thursday night, after Progress press deadlines. Game two is tonight (Friday) at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Saskatchewan’s Physical Activity Centre.

Game three, if necessary, is Saturday with a 2 p.m. tipoff.
