Bear Creek course stymies Brad Clapp in Web.com bid

The Chilliwack golfer didn't make it past the first stage of qualifying, finishing nine strokes off the pace.

Brad Clapp has fallen short in his bid for a spot on the Web.com tour.The Chilliwack golfer tied for 47th at a Q school tournament in southern California last week, finishing nine strokes off the qualifying line.Clapp struggled through rounds of 72-73-71-77 on the unforgiving Bear Creek course in Murrieta, CA.He finished five over par and needed to finish four under to move on to the second of three qualifying stages.Clapp was one of three Canadians competing against a field dominated by U-S golfers.
